If anyone of you guys dreaming about a military coup to take place in the Gambia, you better think twice...The man in charge of state of affairs in the Gambia Jammeh Musa does not joke about coup stories! Jammeh is very protective of his position. He reacts to the slightest intelligence that he perceives as a threat to himself, his leadership and family. That’s why Jammeh Musa is leaving New York for Banjul today at 2 PM to sort things out in the Gambia. He has been briefed by his NIA intelligence to leave the US before the US demos could possibly spread to the Gambia. The New York protest demo videos have boosted the morals of the hopeless Gambian community back home, who are yearning for a change of leadership. Thousands of people logged online to watch the videos of protesting Gambians in New York on the pages of the Freedom Newspaper and Facebook.
The soldier’s piece has also contributed greatly to Jammeh Musa’s decision to cut his trip short. A Security analyst, who reached us had this today to the soldier: “A word of advice to the soldier: Please try to withhold such intelligence in the future. Jammeh should be kept out of the loop. Surprise is the best element in any military operation.”
Faced by an embarrassing reception at his hosted five star Carlton Hotel in New York, Jammeh Musa has emerged as the standout guy among his peers hosted at the luxurious hotel. He has been entrapped in the hotel for hours. His movements have been curtailed largely due to security reasons. Jammeh has been lying to his host that there are armed men amongst the protesters occupying the vicinity of the hotel. As such, Jammeh said it would be unsafe for him to travel to the UN building. The US Secret Service is looking out for the paranoid Gambian tyrant. A number of agents have been assigned to oversee Jammeh and his delegation’s security.
Dr. Amadou Janneh, served as an Information Minister in Jammeh’s government. Janneh was among the organizers of the New York march. He dismisses dictator Jammeh’s claims that there were armed men embedded in the crowd. Janneh said no one was armed among the crowd.
“We are very responsible American citizens and residents. We were there to exercise our civic rights and duties. The protest march was a non violent one and I must say that it was a success story. No one was armed. It was a peaceful demonstration. We were able to prevent Jammeh from attending the UN Summit on Wednesday. He is a coward! He was afraid to come out of the hotel. His wife Zeinab Souma Jammeh was smuggled through the kitchen to be able to leave the hotel. I could see her putting her hands on her head—fearing that someone in the crowd might stone her. She even entered in the wrong car while being escorted by the Secret Service and Jammeh’s guards,” Janneh tells Freedom Radio.
Mr. Janneh and his group haven’t given up yet in confronting Jammeh Musa. He says they planned to organize another massive demonstration today Friday at the UN building and at the hotel, where Jammeh has been hosted.
“We want to teach him a lesson that he will never forget in his lifetime. Jammeh has long been challenging Gambians to come home and face him. Here we are in New York to face the Gambian coward. Jammeh is a dog. He only barks at his backyard. Today, we are manifesting to the world that Gambians are no cowards as Jammeh thinks. We want our people back home to learn from us... that power belongs to the people. Jammeh being the coward he is; he chickened out when we showed up at the hotel. This goes to show that Jammeh is a coward. He has been hiding in that hotel since he learnt about our presence in the area,” said Dr. Janneh, who was jailed for life imprisonment for merely distributing t shirts calling for an end to dictatorship.
According to delegation sources, Jammeh Musa has scheduled his home return. He is leaving the US this afternoon. We will keep you posted with developments.source: http://www.freedomnewspaper.com/Homepage/tabid/36/newsid367/9101/GAMBIA-BREAKING-NEWS-Jammeh-Musa-Has-Abruptly-Cut-Short-His-UN-Trip-Amid-Reports-Of-Coup-Plot-Jammeh-Leaving-Today-New-York-For-Banjul/Default.aspx
