One of Yahya Jammeh's biggest blunders in his nineteen years Presidency was to pay witnesses to lie in an open court that his former Chief of Defense Staff Major General Lang Tombong Tamba and co wanted to overthrow him from power--knowing very well that there was no such coup plotted against him, a living witnesses to Jammeh's judicial manipulations and banditry tells the Freedom Newspaper. The main man tasked with coordinating the payment of the witnesses to lie in court, according to our reliable and dependable source, was no other person besides Benedict Jammeh, dictator Yahya Jammeh's former right hand man and close confidant. Ben was the Director General of Gambia's anti narcotic unit, when Jammeh Musa, widely known in Kanilai as "Jallow " assigned him to pay witnesses to lie in court that Lang Tombong and co have plotted to unseat him from power.
It may sound dumb and stupid to the average reader, as to how Jammeh allowed Ben Jammeh to document the monies that were paid to the fake witnesses in the presence of Foday Barry, a former Director of Investigations and Intelligence at the NDEA, and Njogu Bah, the dismissed former Secretary General and Presidential Affairs Minister. But Ben Jammeh has indeed documented the payment of the treason state witnesses. Barry and Bah were present when Ben Jammeh paid Jammeh's star witness Ousainou Kujabi, alias, Rui Jabbie Gassama, in the treason trail of Lang Tombong and co under the instructions of his former boss Jallow Kanilai (Yahya Jammeh).
Here is how the deal was reached for the witness inducement program held at the NDEA under Ben's leadership. There are documentary evidence to back up the reportage if the Jammeh State House tries to dispute the story. We seriously doubt it if Jammeh will ever deny what is reported here.
1. Witness Ousainou Kujabi a Gambian known as (Rui Jabbi Gassama) also claiming to be from Bissau received $10,000 from Ben Jammeh.
2. Witness Ebrima Marreh received D60,000 from Ben Jammeh. This was the chap, who travelled to Bissau after he was paid, and he gotten arrest in Bissau. Marreh and Rui Jabbie Gassama are both currently languishing at the Janjangbureh prison. Jammeh was using them on purpose. After corrupting them to lie against Lang and co, he turn around and jailed them without taking them to court. The two have disappeared from their loved ones. They will end being killed in prison.
3. Witness Kabiru Saidy received $3,900 from Ben Jammeh
While Ben Jammeh was paying the witnesses Foday Barry and Njogu Bah were present. Njogu was sent by Jammeh to witness the payment of the witnesses. Jallow Kanilai can you deny this? We bet you cannot deny our reportage.
Ben Jammeh is an intelligent officer. He ensures that all monies which were given to him by Jallow Kanilai were documented for posterity. He also ensured that Njogu Bah, and Foday Barry witnessed the transactions because Ben knew very well that his brother Jallow Kanilai is mentally unstable.
In another development, our agent at the State House monitoring Jallow Kanilai's movements has informed that there is a big infighting at the NDEA. There is a power struggle between Edrissa Jobe alias (Alagie Morr ) and Ebrima Drammeh, alias (Jim ) for the post of NDEA DG and Deputy NDEA DG. As a result they both abandoned their offices in Banjul and moved to the NDEA office in pipeline, our source said.
Interestingly, few weeks before the so called cocaine destruction, Ben Jammeh and his NDEA team were arrested on frivolous charges. It was a calculated move on the side of Jammeh to eliminate all potential intelligence assets privy to his evil machinations to dispose the drugs to his targeted western market.
Our State House agent also said that he overheard a conversation between Ben Jammeh, Yahya Jammeh, Pa Harry Jammeh and Njogu Bah, in which Yahya Jammeh was telling Ben that he was going to sell the two tons of cocaine which were seized in the Gambia about three years ago. Ben has warned Jammeh about the implications of selling the cocaine--citing the global knowledge about the presence of the cocaine in the Gambia, but Jammeh told Ben that only a fool would burn the one billion dollar worth of cocaine. Everyone at the meeting was taken aback by Jammeh's remarks that he was going to dispose the cocaine in the western market. Pa Harry, and Njogu Bah are living witnesses to Jammeh's coke sale conversation he had with Ben.
A source close to the NDEA said Ben was forewarned that he was not going to witness the destruction of the drugs because he (Ben)knows too much about Jammeh's nefarious business activities. It is also gathered that Jammeh allegedly pocketed the money exhibits that were recovered from the South American drug dealers linked to the one billion dollars worth of cocaine. Ben, according to our source, has a documentation of the money he handed to the Sheriff Division of the High Court through Jammeh's directives. The money was later handed to Jammeh.
The monetary exhibits seized from the drug dealers was never tendered in court. This is how corrupt Jallow Kanilai is. He uses his aides for a reason, and once he is done with them he will set them up on frivolous charges.
Njogu Bah, and Pa Harry would be very lucky if they ever live to witness Jammeh's fall. The duo knows too much about Jammeh's illicit business practices.
