U.S. Law Enforcement Leaders Call on Communities to Acknowledge & Condemn Growing Threats of Antisemitism
Écrit par SENETOILE NEWSToday, the Jewish Institute for National Security of America (JINSA) issued an open letter signed by more than 25 U.S. law enforcement leaders, who condemned the sharp rise of "hateful attacks against Jews in our own country" following Hamas' horrific terror attacks of October 7th. You can find the full letter at this link and below.
The signatories also called on other law enforcement officers across the country to "acknowledge the distinct threat growing antisemitism poses to Jews in America...to reach out to Jewish leaders and institutions in their jurisdictions to offer support and assurance, and to deploy the resources and personnel needed to keep those communities safe."
This letter comes on the heels of a trip to Israel that a number of senior U.S. law enforcement officials took last month. The trip was an installation of the JINSA Homeland Security Program (HSP) in a show of solidarity with their Israeli counterparts and to learn lessons applicable to American law enforcement from the horrific events of October 7. The law enforcement officials visited communities of the Israeli south that were hardest hit by the Hamas terror attacks and met with survivors and courageous Israeli police officers who fought to keep Hamas from breaching Israeli territory further.
