Govt’s position on the relentless smear campaign against The Gambia

Monday, October 07, 2013

The Government of The Gambia has reacted to the relentless smear campaign against the country and its people orchestrated by some Western powers using selfish Gambians and non-Gambians.

In a televised address on Friday evening on behalf of the government, the secretary general, head of the Civil Service and the minister of Presidential Affairs, Momodou Sabally, said that government has been following events with utter dismay since 1994.

The message also stressed that the Gambia Government stands for three things; the worship of Allah and our total submission to HIS WILL; to ensure that The Gambia will never be recolonised in whatever form or manifestation and The Gambia will never be enslaved again.

Gambians Reject Jammeh’s Decision’s To Withdraw The Gambia From The Commonwealth!

Gambians Reject Jammeh’s Decision’s To Withdraw The Gambia From The Commonwealth!

Gambians both at home and abroad have vehemently rejected dictator Yahya Jammeh’s unilateral move to withdraw the country from the Commonwealth. The rejection came in the wake of Jammeh’s recent declaration that he is pulling out Gambia’s name from the global body—Commonwealth. A senior government official, who spoke to the Freedom Newspaper cautions that unless Gambians and the world are aware of the fact that Yahya Jammeh is insane they will cease to be amazed by his dumb and foolish decisions.

Commonwealth reacts to Gambia’s withdrawal

Friday, October 04, 2013
The Commonwealth of Nations has issued a short statement pointing out that it was in contact with the authorities in Gambia over media reports suggesting that the country was withdrawing from the organization.

The statement by spokesman Richard Uku posted on its website on Thursday disclosed that Commonwealth Secretary-General Kamalesh Sharma was dismayed by media coverage on the reported announcement of Gambia’s withdrawal from the mainly English-speaking club of countries with past colonial ties to Britain.

“We are in touch with the Gambian authorities to follow up on the media reports in order to establish the facts clearly. When clarification is received from the government of The Gambia, the Commonwealth Secretariat will issue a further statement accordingly” Uku’s statement said.

Good Citizen warning to Gambia's Sinking Government

Good Citizen warning to Gambia's Sinking Government

Fetishistic worship of stones and dead objects produced disappointing twists when president Yaya Jammeh was stripped off his magical power stick in front of big cameras at UN Heads of State special meeting in New York end of September 2013.

Protocol required that Jammeh had to surrender his power stick before mounting the stage during his famous speech where he lambasted world leaders for empowering gays, lesbians and homosexuals whom he described as biggest destroyer of mankind.

SG Momodou Sabally Brands The UDP As A Mandingka Group; Says Mandingkas Will Never Rule The Gambia!

SG Momodou Sabally read a statement issued by The Gambia Government branding the UDP as a Mandingka group; calls the US; UK as racist nations; Says The Mandingka group will never rule The Gambia; says the West is funding online papers and the opposition to overthrow his regime!

Folks:

SG Momodou Sabally has just finished reading a strongly worded statement charged with tribal undertones; racial slurs against the West and so on. Can anyone help me with the video? The statement was in reaction to what the regime calls so called asylum seekers. Saihou Mballow, Assan Martin's names appeared on the statement. This is a disturbing statement. It will no doubt going to cause a diplomatic rift between Banjul and western nations accredited to The Gambia. It is a thirty minute speech characterized by anti western bashing. This is a dying regime that is desperately looking for trouble.

Four men currently under custody for their involvement in a political asylum scam Wednesday afternoon confessed to their crimes before journalists, using the opportunity to appeal for clemency from the president of the Republic.

Gambian intelligence operatives, it would be recalled, had on Tuesday uncovered a huge political asylum scam involving a senior executive member of the main opposition party - the United Democratic Party (UDP) and three others.

The UDP national treasurer, Amadou Sanneh; Malang Fatty, the alleged asylum seeker; Alhagie Sambou Fatty, (brother to Malang); and Bakary Baldeh, commissioner of Oaths, all confessed to the crime. The men described their actions as “regrettable”.

The Gambia Slides into ISOLATION

The Gambia Slides into ISOLATION

The President of The Gambia has done it again. Less than one week after the ‘unstatesmanlike’ statementmade at the 68th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, the Gambia Government announced its decision yesterday to "withdraw” its membership of the Commonwealth, stating that “The Gambia will never be a member of any neo-colonial institution and will never be a party to any institution that represents an extension of colonialism."

Gambia’s Opposition Leader Ousiananou Darboe Risks Facing Arrest Upon His Return To The Gambia From The US!

Gambia’s Opposition Leade rOusiananou Darboe Risks Facing Arrest Upon His Return To The Gambia From The US!

Jammeh Musa is not the least serious… This Intel we just received is just outrageous…Guess what?? Jammeh is designing a counterintelligence scheme to have Lawyer Ousainanou Darboe arrested upon his return from his US trip.  He is mad at Lawyer Darboe and his UDP supporters, who had taken part in the New York Demo which sends him holed up at the Carlton Hotel for hours for fear of his personal safety. Jammeh’s failed trip coincides with Darboe’s presence in the US. He is now blaming Darboe for the hostile reception he received while in New York.

Jammeh applauded for pushing Cuba’s case at 68th UN Summit

Friday, October 04, 2013
The speech delivered by the president of the Republic at the 68th Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, in which he renewed his call for the economic embargo on Havana to be lifted, has been welcomed by members of The Gambia-Cuba Friendship Association.

The Association described the move by His Excellency Sheikh Professor Alhaji Dr. Yahya Jammeh as a stately one, concurring that the “so-called” embargo has since been taking its negative toll on the people of that Latin American nation.

The vice chairman of the Association, Buba Senghore, condemned the embargo, saying that it has violated the “basic human rights tenets of the UN Charter against the Cuban people”.

Praising Jammeh for a landmark speech and for denouncing Western double standards, he praised the Republic of Cuba for extending a helping hand to Gambian youths through the government.

Nigeria clocks 53 -Relations with Gambia grows

Thursday, October 03, 2013
The Federal Republic of Nigeria, Africa’s largest nation in population, is 53 years old having thrown the colonial yoke of Britain on October 1, 1960.

The occasion was celebrated in The Gambia with a reception at the posh Cocoa Ocean Hotel on the Bijilo coast, Tuesday evening.

Attended by cabinet ministers, diplomats, managing directors and a large section of the Nigerian community in The Gambia, the occasion marked a fitting opportunity for officials from both countries to pay a glowing tribute to the excellent relationship between The Gambia and Nigeria.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Nigerian High Commissioner to The Gambia, Esther John Audu, said there is no doubt that the journey of 53 years has been quite challenging, but remarkable, considering the giant strides recorded within the span of the period.
